Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the authorities concerned for effecting change of name of petitioner from Rubina Khatoon to Mannat Aaisha in her educational documents and certificates in terms of representation dated 3rd April, 2024. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner has placed reliance on judgment rendered by Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Jagya Yadav (minor) versus C.B.S.E. (Central Board of Secondary Education), AIR Online 2021 SC 274. 4. In view of representation having already been made to opposite party No.3 i.e. Secretary, Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, U.P., Allahabad (now Prayagraj), the same may be considered and decided in terms of judgment rendered in the case of Jagya Yadav (minor) supra in case the same is applicable. Decision with regard to same shall be taken by the concerned authority within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is served upon the concerned authority. In case the same is allowed, consequential action shall be taken by the university concerned. 5. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
