Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State and perused the material available on record. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order of punishment dated 14.11.2024 and the disciplinary proceedings, which were initiated against him on account of unauthorized absence for a period of 342 days. 3. At the very outset, learned Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection with regard to the availability of efficacious alternative remedy of departmental appeal available to the petitioner and submits that all the grounds raised in the present writ petition can be taken before the appellate authority. 4. Learned counsel for petitioner does not dispute the aforesaid fact. 5. In light of the above, this writ petition is dismissed on the ground of availability of alternative remedy. The liberty is granted to the petitioner to avail statutory remedy of appeal with expedition. . (Alok Mathur, J.)
