Petitioner is aggrieved of prolonged withholding of admitted amount of Rs. 53,29,119/- by the respondents which according to him already stands recommended for payment by the respondents in their departmental communications including the communication dated 18.07.2025. The case set out by the petitioner is that he executed multiple Public electrification works under valid allotments which has already undergone full chain of departmental verification, measurements, inspection, commissioning and certification. Grievance of the petitioner is that though the part payment has been released but the respondents have withheld the balance payment without any justification and despite various representations preferred by him from time to time including representation dated 27th October, 2025. Having regard to the limited nature of controversy, the present petition is admitted to hearing and is disposed of at its threshold with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for release of admitted liability within a period of four weeks from the date, copy of this order along with copy of writ petition and annexures are made available to them.
