Jyotsna Rewal Dua, J This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs: - “(i) That respondent no. 1 to 4 be directed to provide the security to the petitioners by deputing the police protection till the arrest of absconder respondent no.5. (ii) That respondent no.1 to 4 be directed to constitute and depute special force to search and arrest respondent no.5 absconder to safeguard the live of petitioners and their family.” 2. Vide order dated 10.12.2025 passed in this writ petition, the respondents were directed to provide police protection to the petitioners to save their life & liberty. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 3. Learned Deputy Advocate General has placed on record a copy of office instructions dated 02.01.2026 from the Superintendent of Police, District Chamba, H.P. inter alia conveying that appropriate protection has been provided to the petitioners in compliance to the order dated 10.12.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioners acknowledges that the petitioners have been provided police protection by the respondents. 4. Looking to the contents of the above office instructions, the respondents are directed to continue providing police protection to the petitioners, in accordance with law, till such time, when upon fresh examination of the facts & circumstances of the case, the threat perception faced by the petitioners as highlighted in the office instructions currently on record, is found to have diminished so as to warrant withdrawal of the protection.
