The present petition has been filed with the following prayer: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandaus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction of the like nature, commanding and directing to the opposite parties No. 2 to 4 for the election of officiating Pradhan or Pradhan for the office of Pradhan in Gram Panchayat Laukahi Mallapur, Vikas Khand-Isanagar, Tehsil-Dhaurhara, District- Kheri according to the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947." 3. It is informed by the learned Standing Counsel that the election as sought for has already been held. 4. In view of the statement of the learned Standing Counsel, the writ petition is rendered infructuous. It is accordingly dismissed as infructuous.
