By this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following main relief:- "(i). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to appoint the petitioner on any suitable post keepong in view his requisite qualification on compassionate ground under the provisions of Dying in Harness Rules deciding his numerous representations." The matter pertains to the year 2004. There is no interim order operating in the petition. It appears that by efflux of time, the petitioner has lost interest in the matter to pursue the case as such the petition has rendered infructuous.
