This Court vide order dated 03.12.2024 issued notice to the petitioners to engage another counsel due to the death of Sri D.C. Mukherjee, who was appearing for the petitioners. The office report dated 15.01.2025 shows that card notices were issued to petitioners on 06.01.2025. Another office report dated 20.01.2025 shows that card notice upon petitioners could not be served and returned back with a note that the addressees are no more alive. The matter is an old one pertaining to the year 1993. When the case has been called out, no one is present to press the writ petition, while Shri Gaya Deep Singh, learned Standing Counsel is present for the State- respondents.
