This writ petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the FIR No.0284 of 2025, registered at Police Station Bhagwanpur, District Hardwar, under Sections 137(2) of Bharatiya Nagaric Sureksha Sanhita, 2023. 3. The facts in brief are that the FIR was lodged by respondent no.4 with the averments that his sister named Sheifa whose date of birth is 10.08.2010 had gone on 19.08.2025 out of the house to Bhagwanpur to get some articles, since then, the girl was missing. Even after, several efforts for searching her could not yield any result. On 27.08.2025, they got knowledge of the fact that the petitioner has enticed her away. The informant has shown suspicion that the life of his sister is in danger. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the offence alleged against the petitioner is not made out and it was a case of love affair. 5. Be that as it may, this Court is not supposed to go 1 into nitty-gritty of the contents of the FIR. The averments made in the FIR constitute an offence under Section 137(2) of B.N.S.S., 2023, which is a serious offence. The girl is minor, about 15 years of age. The matter requires investigation for which the petitioner’s presence is very much important. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not point out any ground so as to use extraordinary jurisdiction vested in this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 7.
