Petitioner was appointed on contract as Cook through outsourcing agency, namely, Global Computer Society, in Forest Department in the year 2023. 3. The Secretary, Centre for Forestry and Natural Resources Management Development, Haldwani, now has issued a letter to the Global Computer Society to withdraw the services of petitioner, as they are no more needed. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that sufficient number of vacant posts are still available in Centre for Forestry and Natural Resources Management Development and the petitioner has been disengaged for ulterior motives. He submits that the authorities now intend to engage someone else in place of the petitioner, which is impermissible. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that there is no material on record to show that the work and post is still available in the Centre. He, however, concedes that if work is available, then 2025:UHC:8373 petitioner’s claim be considered if he makes representation. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the authority. If he makes representation within ten days from today, the competent authority shall look into the matter and take decision regarding re-engagement, as per law, within four weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
