Heard learned counsel for the petitioner - Insurance Company and learned counsel for the respondents - claimants. 2. Present petition has been filed challenging the award dated 28.02.2018. 3. The issue involved in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court dated 06.12.2024 passed in Matters Under Article 227 No.14174 of 2018. 4. Considering and following the reasoning as contained in the said order, the award dated 28.02.2018 is modified to the extent that the amount of penalty of Rs.1,50,000/- is reduced to Rs.75,000/-. The other directions contained in the said award shall remain as it is. 5. Any amount deposited by the petitioner before this Court shall be remitted for payment before the Permanent Lok Adalat within a period of six weeks from today alongwith the accrued interest. 6. The amount shall be paid to the respondent in terms of the directions given in the award with all expedition. 7. Present petition stands disposed off in above terms.
