(ORAL) Prayer made in present writ petition is for directing the respondents to grant statutory pay scales to the petitioners as mandated in the Punjab Civil Secretariat (State Service Class-III) (First Amendment) Rules, 2020 viz 10300-34800 + Rs.3200/- Grade Pay according to Punjab Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2009 and instructions dated 15.12.2011. 2 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the similar question of law, as are involved in the present case, have already been decided by this Court in CWP-15896 of 2023, titled Saurabh Sharma and others versus State of Punjab and another, decided on 13.09.2024 (Annexure P-12) and the same have also been upheld upto Hon’ble the Supreme Court of India vide order dated 20.01.2025, (Annexure P-14). He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioners, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner. 3 Notice of motion. 4 Ms. Anu Chatrath, Addl. A.G. Punjab, with Ms. Dhamanpreet Kaur, Advocate, enters appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that she has no objection to the aforesaid prayer being granted. 5 Accordingly, with the consent of the parties and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P-17) within a period of 06 months, taking note of the aforesaid judgments, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon. March 10, 2025. (VINOD S.
