HON’BLE MR JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL, JUDGE
O R D E R 02.05.2025
1. Petitioners were aggrieved of seizure of their service books by Vigilance Organization Kashmir (now ACB) under Case FIR No.31/2014 initiated under Sections 5(1)(2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act, 2006, and Section 120-B IPC.
2. Petitioners in this writ petition seek a direction upon respondent No.3 to release their service books so that respondent No.4 makes the necessary entries in their service books and releases the arrears which are due to them.
3. A Coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 03.05.2024 directed respondent No.3 to release service books of petitioners to enable respondent No.4 to make necessary entries in service books of petitioners for release of other service benefits.
4. There was no representation on behalf of petitioners on the last date of hearing; same is the position today as well. Relief sought by the petitioners has been granted to them vide order dated 30.05.2024. It appears that the grievance of the petitioners stands redressed, otherwise they would have appeared in the matter. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution along with connected CM(s). Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
