This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the respondents to receive house tax of petitioners' House No.347-A/1/449-B, Neem Sarai, Mundera, Police Station Dhoomanganj, District Allahabad. 2. Submissions have been made that out of a total demand of Rs.2,01,018/-, though the amount to the tune of Rs.60,000/- deposited by the petitioners was accepted by the respondents by indicating House No.347-A/1/449-B, thereafter, when the petitioners wanted to deposit the amount qua the said house, the same number alongwith House No. 449-B was not getting reflected on the computers of the respondents and as such, the amount was not accepted. The petitioners have issued letters and reminders in this regard, however, the same have not been responded to. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the Municipal Corporation, Prayagraj made submissions that there is no question of the respondents refusing to accept the payment of house tax from the petitioners and in case, the petitioners are willing to deposit the house tax for House No.347-A/1/449-B for which Rs.60,000/- has already been accepted by the respondents, the same would be accepted by the respondent Corporation. 4. In view of the categorical submissions made on behalf of the respondents, the petition filed by the petitioners is disposed of. 5. In case, the petitioners approach the respondents for deposit of the amount of house tax for House No.347-A/1/449-B, the same shall be accepted by the respondents.
