Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. The writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "A. Issue, a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 13-09-2024 passed by respondent no.1/District Magistrate, Dist.-Chandauli." 3. The petitioner is Gram Pradhan and audit objection was raised for financial year 2016-17. The audit objection was with regard to financial irregularities for a sum of Rs.6,19,750/- . The District Magistrate, Chandauli has given a notice for deposit of amount otherwise the amount would be recovered in accordance with law. 4. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner has no knowledge with regard to any audit objection nor any audit report has been given. 5. It is to be seen that audit was conducted in the office of Gram Panchayat and thereafter, as per procedure, reports were submitted. The Gram Pradhan is required to remove objection or deposit the amount in respect of entries, which are objected by the audit. In the present case, nothing has been shown that petitioner at any point of time has objected to audit objection. This Court cannot take into consideration the submission of petitioner that audit report was not in his knowledge. Petitioner is elected Pradhan and he is required to run his office in accordance with prescribed financial Rules. The audit objection is a serious matter and the petitioner has been casually approaching this Court without even disclosing what are the audit objection. There is no order under Rules 256 of U.P. Panchayat Raj Rules against petitioner. 6. At this stage, the writ petition, is not maintainable and is accordingly dismissed. Order Date :- 22.1.2025/D.
