The petitioner takes exception to office order dated 01.04.2025, whereby he, serving as Assistant Engineer in the office of BVPCL, Jogindernagar, has been transferred to the office of Project Construction, Division No.1, HPSEBL, Tissa. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a handicapped person with 60% disability and therefore, is entitled to protection of Clause 5.3 of the Transfer Policy. It is further submitted that due to his disability, it would not be possible for the petitioner to serve 1Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? Yes
-2- at the transferred station, and hence, he seeks his adjustment at a convenient station.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case he is permitted to file a representation seeking transfer from the present place of posting, whereafter, the competent authority/respondent No.1 may be directed to consider and decide the same in accordance with law within a time-bound schedule. This is not objected to by learned counsel for the respondents.
4. In view of above, this writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to prefer a representation within two days from today. In case, such representation is so preferred, the competent authority shall consider and decide the same, in accordance with law, within further period of one week.
