The petitioner, through the medium of present petition has sought a direction upon the respondents to release an amount of Rs. 4,42,785/- along with interest in respect of work done liability. 2. The case of the petitioner is that pursuant to NIT No. 90/E- tendering of 2020-2021/R&B dated 17.12.2020, the petitioner was allotted a contract in terms of Allotment Letter dated 27.01.2021 for execution of “Internal Electrification Work with Electrical Control Panel Protective and Controlling Devices LED Luminaries Fittings and Ceiling Fans Etc including Wiring excluding conduct of work for newly constructed multipurpose hall in the premises of Government P a g e | 2 WP(C) 3221/2025 CM(8661/2025) Boys Higher Secondary School at Ganderbal”. The cost of the allotted work was Rs. 4,82,300/- and the said work was completed by the petitioner. It has been submitted that after execution and completion of the work, the petitioner raised a bill of Rs. 4,42,785/- upon the respondents but till date the amount has not been released in his favour despite petitioner having approached the respondents a number of times. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider his claim and take a decision thereon within a specified time. 4. In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law and take a decision thereon most expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is made available to the respondents by the petitioner. 5.
