By way of instant application filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2024, prayer has been made on behalf of the applicant/petitioner for extension of temporary bail granted by this Court vide order dated 07.03.2025, passed in Cr.MP(M) No.358 of 2025, whereby applicant/petitioner was ordered to be enlarged on temporary bail for a period of one month w.e.f. 10.03.2025 to 08.04.2025. It is averred in the application, which is duly supported by way of an affidavit, that mother of applicant/petitioner is critically ill and at present, stands admitted in Livasa Hospital, Mohali for treatment of blood cancer. Since applicant/petitioner is the only son of his mother, who at present is in the fag-end of her life and there is none to take care of her, this Court by way of indulgence and purely on humanitarian grounds, deems it fit to extend the temporary bail granted by this Court vide order dated 07.03.2025 by two weeks, meaning thereby, petitioner in all eventuality would surrender on 22.04.2025, failing which, Police would be at liberty to arrest the applicant/petitioner.
