JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL-JUDGE ORDER 21.11.2025 Petitioner in this petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to release the benefits in view of the award of Ph.D degree in his favour in pursuance of decision taken by the Governing Body of the respondent Institute on 23.05.2017 and order dated 31.07.2017. Objections have already been filed. During the pendency of this petition, this Court vide order dated 29.12.2020, asked the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of benefits in tune with the decision taken by the Governing Body. It is being stated by the learned counsel for the respondents Mr. M. A. Qadiri that respondents have complied with the aforesaid order and considered the case of the petitioner recommending grant of benefits to the petitioner. It is being further submitted by Mr. Qadiri, that decision for release of benefits in favour of petitioner by respondents be taken within a period of two months from today. Given submissions made by Mr. Qadiri, learned counsel appearing for the respondents, the decision regarding placement and grant of benefits in favour of the petitioner in view of his having obtained Ph.D degree be taken within a period of two months.
