The present Application has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for quashing the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.4526 of 2020, “State vs. Dinesh Juyal”, pending before the court of IInd Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 2. Heard Mr. M.C. Pant, learned counsel for the applicant, Mr. Tumul Nainwal, learned Assistant Government Advocate for the respondent no.1 and Mr. Lalit Sharma, learned counsel for the respondent 1 2025:UHC:8530 no.2/informant-victim. 3. The applicant-accused-Dinesh Juyal is present in-person. He is identified by Mr. M.C. Pant, Advocate. The respondent no.2-Dr. Subhash Gupta is present through video conferencing. He is identified by Mr. Lalit Sharma, Advocate. 4. Both, the applicant and the respondent no.2 submitted that they have settled their private disputes and now, they are living happily and in harmony. They have filed a Compounding Application (IA No.01 of 2025) and affidavits with their free will and without any pressure. 5. The respondent no.2 has requested to quash the entire proceedings of the said Criminal Case No.4526 of 2020. 6. Mr. Tumul Nainwal, learned Assistant Government Advocate, has not opposed the said request of the respondent no.2. 7. Considering the totality of the matter, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.4526 of 2020, “State vs. Dinesh Juyal”, pending before the court of IInd Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun, are quashed. 2 2025:UHC:8530 8.
