Devananda, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. Jyotsana, learned counsel appearing for the respondents No. 1, 2, 5 & 6 undertakes before this Court for making payment of balance amount of Rs. 10,02,207/- (Rupees ten lakh two thousand two hundred and seven) to the petitioner and the same shall be paid during the financial year 2025 – 2026. On the earlier occasion, the learned senior counsel appearing for the respondents seeks two weeks’ time for filing an affidavit before this Court with an undertaking that the balance amount will be paid to the petitioner KHOIROM BIPINCHAND RA SINGH Digitally signed by KHOIROM BIPINCHANDRA SINGH Date: 2025.05.19 13:32:53 +05'30' P a g e 2 | 2 within a period of four weeks. As per the undertaking, the respondent No. 5 filed affidavit stating that they have already paid 20,00,000/- (Rupees lakh) to the petitioner during the financial year 2024-2025. The remaining balance amount of Rs. 10,02,207/- (Rupees ten lakh two thousand two hundred and seven) will be paid to the petitioner during the financial year 2025 – 2026 and therefore, seeks more time to fully comply with the Court’s order. Therefore, this Court has directed the respondent for making payment of the balance amount of Rs. 10,02,207/- (Rupees ten lakh two thousand two hundred and seven) to the petitioner within a period of 12 (twelve) weeks from today for settling the matter. Failing which, it is open to the petitioner to file a fresh contempt petition before this Court for non- compliance of the Court’s order and this Court will take very serious view to the matter for disobedience of the Court’s order.
