Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K. Baishya, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor for the State respondent. 2. This I.A. has been preferred seeking suspension of sentenced and bail for the accused who has been convicted for offence under Section 21 B of the NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for a period of 6 years and with a fine of Rs. 50,000/- and in default 6 months. 3. It is submitted by the learned counsel that there are two grounds of subsiding in the appeal and moreover the accused has already spent 6 months in jail. 4. Having regard to the above, the sentence imposed upon the petitioner by the impugned order dated 06.03.2025 is suspended. 5. The petitioner namely MD. Sahabuddin is allowed to go on bail of Rs. 50,000/- with 2 sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur. 6.
