Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J Notice. Mr. L.N. Sharma learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage. 3. Petitioner is currently serving as Inspector Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (HPSDRF) 3rd IRB Pandoh w.e.f. 17.02.2023. His grievance is to the office order dated 10.03.2025 (Annexure P-4) which transferred him to 6th IRBn Kolar. Petitioner’s case is that he has been transferred from the present place of posting at a stage when he would be retiring on attaining the age of superannuation on 28.02.2026. At the fag end of 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 his service, he has been transferred to 6th IRBn Kolar, which is at a distance of 250 kms from his present place of posting. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is still serving at his present place of posting and no incumbent has been ordered to be transferred at his place. 4. Keeping in view the impending retirement of the petitioner (within next 10 months), instead of calling reply from the respondents, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with direction to the respondents to consider and decide petitioner’s representation dated 03.04.2025 (Annexure P-5), in accordance with law and applicable transfer policy/instructions/circulars, within a period of two weeks. The order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. Till the decision of the aforesaid representation, operation of order dated 10.03.2025 (Annexure P-4), shall remained stayed qua the petitioner.
