Petitioner before this Court claims that for fisheries rights his bid, being the highest, was accepted in the year 2015 and 1/4 of the bid amount was deposited by him amounting to Rs. 98,950/-. However, as the balance amount was not deposited in time the fisheries rights were not settled in favour of petitioner. According to petitioner, the security amount has not been returned till date. An application dated 22.7.2024 has been moved by petitioner before the respondent no. 2/District Magistrate, Sonbhadra, which is pending consideration till date. 2. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Sonbhadra to decide the application of petitioner moved on 22.7.2024, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 3.
