Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record. 2. In view of the order proposed to be passed herein, no useful purpose would be served by putting the opposite party to notice and keeping this petition pending before this Court. However, in case the opposite party feels aggrieved by the order his/her right to seek modification/variation of the order is being kept reserved. 3. The basic relief sought by the petitioner in the present petition is to direct the respondent no. 2 to decide the suit no. 555 of 1997 (Computer Case No. T201814360303278) under section 229(B) U.P.Z.A. & L.R. Act, 1950 filed by the father of the petitioners on 18.12.10997 in respect of the Khata No. 766 and 1215 of agricultural land, expeditiously. 4. The matter is pending before the Court below since long and considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no final decision has been taken in the matter. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent no. 2/Sub Divisional Magistrate, Machhalishahar, District Jaunpur to decide the aforesaid suit strictly in accordance with law most expeditiously and preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy before the Court below but without granting unnecessary adjournment unless there is no legal impediment.
