Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:17609 Court No. - 5 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 20726 of 2024 Petitioner :- Santosh Kumar Mehrotra Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 2 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Abhishek Kumar Srivastava Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Ajay Bhanot,J. Heard Shri Abhishek Kumar Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. The petitioner claims entitlement to revision of his pension as per relevant Government Orders holding the fields. He has made a representation in this regard but to no avail. The only prayer made by the petitioner is that the representation for claim of revised pension may be decided within a stipulated period of time. Learned Standing Counsel contends that the matter requires factual determination as per applicable law by the competent authority in the first instance. However, he fairly contends that the service benefits/claims are liable to be decided by the competent authority in a reasonable time frame. In the wake of preceding discussion and without going into the merits of the case, the respondent authorities are directed to decide the claim of the petitioner for revision of pension as per relevant Government Orders as per law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a fresh copy of the representation. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is finally disposed of. Order Date :- 6.2.2025 Dhananjai Digitally signed by :- DHANANJAI High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
