Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:6010-DB Court No. - 39 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 43090 of 2024 Petitioner :- Bhotu Ram Prajapati Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Chandra Prakash Srivastava Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Udit Chandra Hon'ble Siddhartha Varma,J. Hon'ble Dr. Yogendra Kumar Srivastava,J. 1. It is the case of the petitioner that he had deposited whatever amount was due vis-a-vis his electricity connection and a permanent disconnection was done on 29.07.2005. This is evident from document which has been annexed at page 24 of the writ petition which shows that there was no amount due vis- a-vis the Urban Electricity Distribution Division 5th U.P. Power Corporation Ltd., Pandeypur, Varanasi. However, when subsequently a demand was being made for the payment vis-a- vis the electricity which has been permanently disconnected, the petitioner made a representation on 25.11.2024 and when that representation was not being considered, the instant writ petition has been filed. 2. Sri Udit Chandra, learned counsel for the Electricity Department submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2024 shall be considered and shall be disposed of within a period of one month from today. 3. Under such circumstances, we direct that the Electricity Department shall decide the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2024 within a period of one month. It may be noted that we have not decided the case on merits. 4. With these observations, the instant writ petition stands disposed of. 5. Needless to mention that for a period of one month, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner. Order Date :- 10.1.2025 vkj/ M.S. Ansari (Dr. Y.K. Srivastava,J.) (Siddhartha Varma,J.)
