[2025:JHHC:13289] IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No.3386 of 2025 ------ Sulekha Kumari, Aged about 24 years, w/o Sanjay Oraon, Resident of Village- Kharkha, P.S. & P.O.: Gumla, District- Gumla Jharkhand .... .... …. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand .... .... .... Opposite Party ------ CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY ------ For the Petitioner : Ms. Khalida Haya Rashmi, Advocate For the State : Mr. Sunil Kr. Dubey, Addl.P.P ------ Order No.02 Dated- 02-05-2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.21 of 2025 arising out of Ghagra P.S. Case No.88 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. Case No.650 of 2024 registered under Section 103 (1) of the B.N.S., 2023. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner has committed the murder of her two sons. It is submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is false. It is further submitted that no reason is assigned by the petitioner as to why the petitioner has killed her own sons. It is next submitted that the petitioner has been in custody since 27.10.2024. Hence it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail. Learned Addl. P.P. appearing for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are several eye-witnesses to the occurrence who have seen the petitioner throwing her own sons aged six months and three years in the well to kill them. Hence, it is submitted that there is every chance of the petitioner absconding and tampering with the evidence if released on bail. It is, therefore, submitted that the petitioner ought not be released on bail at this stage. Considering the serious nature of allegation against the petitioner of killing her own two sons as well as her chance of absconding and tampering with the evidence, this Court is of the considered view that this is not a fit case where the above-named petitioner be released on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the above-named petitioner is rejected. (Anil Kumar Choudhary, J.) Animesh/
