Present petition has been filed seeking direction to respondent to call for report as to what steps/actions have been taken in compliance of order dated 02.08.2023 passed by C.J.M. Maharajganj in Case Crime No.692 of 2017 under Sections 376(2)d, 506 IPC, P.S.Kotwali, District Maharajganj. 3. On the basis of instructions, learned A.G.A. states that initially final report was filed but on protest order for further investigation was passed and consequent thereupon, further investigation is in progress. He further submits that some time may be accorded to apprise the current status of the ongoing investigation. 4. Considering the statement of learned A.G.A. In the aforesaid factual situation, we are not inclined to keep the instant petition pending consideration and we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the police authorities to conclude the further investigation of the aforesaid case fairly, impartially and expeditiously, which shall be done under supervision of the concerned A.C.P., as expeditiously as possible, after production of a certified copy of this order. 5. Needless to add that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the competent authority/Investigating Officer should act strictly in accordance with law.
