Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this contempt petition, the petitioner has alleged willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court on 15.09.2023, in CWP No. 5588 of 2023, titled as Smt. Anita Dogra vs. State of H.P. and others. The Court stands informed that the writ petition itself has now been disposed of without adjudication on merit as having been rendered infructuous, though, an observation was made therein that disposal of the writ petition shall not have any bearing as far as adjudication of this contempt petition is concerned. Having heard learned Counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Deputy Advocate General and in light of the fact that the main writ petition has been closed, this Court is of the considered view that no purpose is going to be served by keeping 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2025:HHC:6149 this contempt petition pending and in terms of the liberty that has been granted to the petitioner by the Hon’ble Writ Court, these proceedings are closed but with the observation that, in case, the petitioner so desires, he may approach the appropriate Court for damages etc., however, it may not be construed that this Court has observed that the petitioner is entitled to any damages.
