By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- “i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground under dying in harness rules known as “U.P. Recruitment of Dependents of Government Servants Dying in Harness Rules, 1974", same was adopted by State of Uttarakhand in the year 2002. ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to take a decision on the application moved by the petitioner dated 20.02.2021 addressed to the respondents (Annexure No. 5 to this writ petition).” 4. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to approach the competent authority by making an application. 5.
