2. It is stated in the pleadings that the petitioner was granted compassionate appointment pursuant to the directions of this Court passed in W.P.No.6700 of 1998. The petitioner’s husband was working as a conductor, and he passed away in the year 1996. The petitioner applied for the compassionate appointment, and aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents, filed W.P.No.6700 of 1998. In compliance with the orders of this Court, the respondents have issued the order of appointment dated 26.03.2002, appointing the petitioner as a Shramik. The petitioner has also stated in the writ affidavit that she has reported to duty as a Shramik. However, the present writ petition is filed seeking any other alternative job, such as Junior Assistant/Typist/any suitable employment commensurate with the qualifications.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that the case of the petitioner was considered under the breadwinner scheme, and that the petitioner has reported to duty on 02.03.2002. It is submitted in the counter that the petitioner has also applied for recruitment as a Shramik Supervisor and Junior Assistant. However, she could not qualify in the said post. It is submitted that the petitioner was offered appointment as a Shramik as per the policy which is existing at that point of time. There is no explanation as to why the petitioner has filed the writ petition after working for ten years as a Shramik. It is also submitted that the petitioner is still continuing in service.

4. Recording the same, no further orders are required in this writ petition.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
