This Court, vide order dated 23.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 5412 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Ajay Bishwas Urf Bappi, Shankar Biswas and Suraj Gain Urf Gay had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge, (NDPS Act), Raipur District-Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 20.02.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, after the charges were framed against the accused persons, the statements of four witnesses were recorded. However, the accused persons have been absent since December 9, 2024, The accused- Shankar Vishwas has appeared, but two accused persons, Ajay Vishwas and Suraj Gain alias Gae, residents of State of Odisha, are still absent. Due to this, even the service of arrest warrants is not possible. In view of the absence of the said accused persons, it appears that the conclusion of the trial within the time fixed by this Court is not possible. Hence the conclusion of the trial is likely to take some more time therefore, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the same. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of five months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
