Petitioner is aggrieved for not being provided with joining letter despite selection made for the post of Constable (GD) in CAPFS Examination, 2022 held by respondents, and that too only for the reason that verification report from forensic laboratory has not been received regarding photograph and thumb impression. Learned counsel for respondents submits that report is still awaited. In the given facts and circumstances, while the letter seeking verification was sent way back on 20.08.2023 and now more than one year has passed, the concerned Director of the Central Forensic Laboratory/ Block No. 4 CGO complex Lodhi Road, New Delhi is directed to submit report to the concerned respondent, namely, respondent No. 3 within a maximum period of two months of production of certified copy of this order so that final decision may be taken by the authority. Petitioner is permitted to serve a copy of this order to the respondent No. 3 and learned Advocate representing respondent No. 3 shall also serve a copy of this order to respondent No. 3 within three weeks from today, so that it may be sent to the Director of concerned Central Forensic Laboratory for necessary compliance. It is further provided that after the report is received, the respondent No. 3 would be taking a decision in the matter as per the report and in the event report is found adverse to petitioner, petitioner shall be afforded reasonable opportunity of hearing before any final decision is taken.
