This contempt petition has been initiated by the complainant for willful disobedience of the order rendered by the Co-ordinate Bench in W.A. No. 10 of 2020 dated 19.07.2024.
Learned senior counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Kh. Tarunkumar is present before this Court physically.
Similarly, learned counsel for the respondent No. 3, Mr. S. Suresh is present before this Court physically.
Whereas, learned Government Advocate for the respondents No. 1 & 2, Mr. RK Umakanta is present before this Court physically in this matter and is submitting an order dated 26.08.2025 passed by the Government of Manipur, Secretariat : Land Resource Department whereby consisting of paragraphs No. 1 to 13, wherein paragraph 12 of this order indicates that - KHOIROM BIPINCHAN DRA SINGH Digitally signed by KHOIROM BIPINCHANDRA SINGH Date: 2025.08.27 16:58:38 +05'30'

“12. Now therefore, considering the above and in conformity with the Court orders, it is hereby conveyed the approval of the Government to refund the deducted amount of Rs. 22,589/- and also to prepare payment of the monthly pension @ Rs. 5390/- p.m. to A.S. Ringam (Retd.) Lambu of SDO, Chingai, Ukhrul District, Manipur in pursuance of the
Judgment and Order of Hon’ble High Court of Manipur dated 19th December, 2019 passed in W.P.(C) no. 282 of 2014,
Order dated 19th July, 2024 passed in W.A. No. 10 of 2020 and Order of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 1st August, 2025 passed in Special Leave Petition (Civil) Diary No (s). 36571 of 2025 at the earliest.”
However, keeping in view of the order rendered by the Government of Manipur dated 26.08.2025 in pursuance of the order rendered by the Co-ordinate Bench in the aforesaid writ appeal has been complied with.
Accordingly, the present contempt petition does not have any substance for consideration and consequently, the present contempt petition stands closed.
