By way of instant application filed under Section 430 of Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (for short “BNSS”), the applicant is seeking suspension of sentence. Vide judgment of conviction dated 20.12.2024 and order of sentence dated 04.04.2025, the applicant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of one year and to pay compensation of Rs. 15,00,000/-. Heard. Having regard to the averments made in the application, which is duly supported by an affidavit of the applicant, the same is allowed and substantive sentence imposed upon the applicant, vide judgment of conviction dated 20.12.2024 and order of sentence dated 04.04.2025, passed by this Court, is ordered to be suspended for a period of four weeks from today, subject to the applicant’s furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs. 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Registrar (Judicial) of this Court.

However, this order shall remain in force by 02.05.2025 and if the applicant/convict fails to prefer an appeal against this order within the aforesaid stipulated period, the protection granted to him shall automatically come to an end.
