The present Public Interest Litigation has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus directing District Magistrate, Ballia to take appropriate action against respondent no. 7, the Gram Pradhan and other officials for embezzlement of public money in light of enquiry report dated 17.5.2022. 2. On 23.1.2025, the following order was passed:- "1. Based on the instructions, it is submitted by counsel for the respondents that respondents are in the process of taking a decision after the notices have been issued to all the concerned persons and response from them have been received. 2. Looking to the fact that the report was produced on 17.05.2022, it would be required of the competent authority to take a view on the report within a period of three weeks from today. 3. List the petition on 04.03.2025, as fresh." 3. Learned Standing Counsel has placed on record the instructions received from District Magistrate, Ballia, according to which the District Magistrate after considering the enquiry report has passed an order on 21.4.2025 holding that no irregularity has been committed and accordingly, the financial and administrative powers of respondent no. 7 have been restored. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner in view of said development prays for withdrawal of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy. 5.
