Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of parties. 2. This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief : "(i). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the 3rd respondent/ DCP(Rural), Lucknow to ensure protection of the petitioner as witness in S.T. No.- 224/2023 by referring the application dated 07.03.2024(Annexure-3) to Witness Protection Committee, Hapur constituted under Witness Protection Scheme, 2018." 3. In spite of orders having been passed by Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court No.-16, Ghaziabad, the Witness Protection Committee has not acted upon the same. 4. In light of the same, prayer (i) is allowed and Witness Protection Committee is directed to decide the application dated March 07, 2024 made by the petitioner after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 5.
