The instant petition has been preferred by the petitioner(s) seeking issuance of an appropriate writ especially in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to Step Up the basic pay of the petitioner from Rs.49000/- per month to Rs.50,500/-. 2. After arguing at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner(s) submits that as regards the grievances mentioned in the petition, the petitioner(s) has already served a legal notice dated 30.09.2024 (Annexure P-8) to the respondent(s) and he would be satisfied in case respondent No.2-The Director General, Central Reserve Police Force, New Delhi is directed to consider and decide the said legal notice by passing a well reasoned and speaking order in a time bound manner. 3. Notice of motion. 4. On the asking of this Court, Mr. Bhisham Kumar Majoka, Advocate, who is on the panel of Union of India, accepts notice on behalf of MANGAL SINGH 2025.05.08 12:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document 2 131 CWP-12953-2025 (O&M) the respondents and submits that he has no objection to the aforesaid prayer being granted. 5. With the consent of the parties, the present petition is accordingly disposed of without commenting on the merits of the present case and with a direction to respondent No.2-The Director General, Central Reserve Police Force, New Delhi to take note of the legal notice dated 30.09.2024 (Annexure P-8) served by the petitioner and to pass a well reasoned and speaking order thereupon after granting an opportunity of hearing to the respective parties in accordance with law and preferably within a period of 04 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 6. Needless to mention that in the event the entitlement of the petitioner is established as per law, the payment due to the petitioner shall be released expeditiously and preferably within a further period of 02 months. 7. In the event of non-payment of dues within the said period, the same shall be released to the petitioner along with interest @ 6% per annum for the delayed period. (VINOD S.
