By this petition, petitioners herein are seeking direction upon respondents to restore the security cover of the petitioners as provided in the shape of PSOs which has been withdrawn when they temporarily migrated to Jammu, with a further direction upon respondents to implement the order No. SDG/Sec/2024/790, dated 24.02.2025, whereby WP (C) No. 1691/2025 Sub Divisional Police Officer, Gandoh, respondent No. 5, has recommended adequate security cover to the petitioners on account of risk to their life and property read with the letter dated 03.03.2025, issued by respondent No. 4, Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, recommending to Inspector General of Police, Security J&K, Jammu, to provide suitable security as admissible under rules to the petitioners. 2. Ms. Chetna Manhas, learned counsel for the respondents was directed to seek instructions as to whether the security cover has been provided to the petitioners, in terms of recommendation (supra) till date or not. She has produced the affidavit duly signed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda: “That in compliance to the Hon’ble Court order dated 10.11.2025, the deponent submits that the deponent after receipt of the report of Sub Divisional Police Officer, Gandoh and considering the matter had vide letter No. Estt/RAR/2025/10785 dated 03.03.2025 recommended to the Inspector General of Police, Security J&K Jammu for providing suitable security as admissible under rule to the petitioners. Later, the deponent received the letter No. SQH/Legal/OWP- 11/2025/26857-60 dated 01.12.2025alongwith enclosure having copy of letter No. SQH/SS/2021-Ors/2025/6987-88 dated 19.03.2025 from the Inspector General of Police, Security Hqrs. J&K Jammu whereby it is intimated that the matter regarding providing of security to the petitioners was examined at SQH, J&K and directed the deponent to take care of their security as per local threat. Further, taking into consideration the local threat to the petitioners, two Special Police Officers (SPOs) of Police Station Gandoh namely Talib Hussain, belt No. 506/SPO and Dawood Ali, belt No. 2748/SPO have been deployed by the deponent vide District Police Headquarter order issued under endorsement No. EStt/Trf/2025/62833-40 dated 10.12.2025 with the petitioners (protectees) for their security and SHO Police Station Gandoh shall depute the said officials for security purposes with the WP (C) No. 1691/2025 aforesaid protectees as and when they visit their native village Soti Changa Tehsil Gandoh District Doda.” 3. It is clear from above that SHO, Police Station, Gandoh, has been directed to depute two Special Police Officers of Police Station, Gandoh namely Talib Hussain and Dawood Ali, for the security of the petitioners, as and when the petitioners would be visiting in their native village Soti Changa, Tehsil Gandoh district Doda. A copy of the affidavit is taken on record. 4. In terms of affidavit filed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, the grievance of the petitioners, as alleged in the instant petition has been redressed. 5. In view of the above instant petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent Nos. 4 to 6 to provide security to the petitioners, in light of the stand taken by respondent No. 4 in the affidavit dated 11.12.2025. 6.
