JUSTICE RAVINDER DUDEJA O R D E R % 03.04.2025 CRL.M.A. 10037/2025 (extension of furlough for a period of two months) 1. This is an application under Section 528 of BNSS in W.P. (CRL) 685/2025 filed on behalf of petitioner, seeking extension of furlough for a period of four weeks for the purpose of admission of children in school and for arranging the funds for the fees and other expenses of the family members. 2. Status report has been filed, verifying the fact that school fees amounting to Rs. 48,500/- of the two sons of petitioner, who are stated to be studying in class IV and VI respectively in KDI Public School, Sohna Road, This is a digitally signed order. The report reveals that father and mother of the petitioner have expired and he lives separately from his brothers. His wife is not working and is a house wife and petitioner is the only bread earner in the family. 3. Vide order dated 28.02.2025, petitioner was directed to be released for the first spell of furlough for a period of three weeks, subject to certain conditions. 4. Learned Standing Counsel does not oppose grant of extension of furlough for further period of two weeks. 5. In view of the Status Report verifying the factum that the school fees of the children of the petitioner is to be deposited and considering the fact that petitioner is the only bread earner in the family, and there being no other member in family to render financial support, I deem it appropriate to extend the furlough for a period of two weeks, subject to terms and conditions, as contained in the order dated 28.02.2025. 6. Upon expiry of said period of two weeks, as stated above, petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent on 18.04.2025 by 05:00 PM. 7. It is further made clear that this two weeks’ extended period of furlough granted today would be set off against total seven spells of furlough, as per Prison Rules. 8. A copy of this order be sent to Jail Superintendent for information and compliance. 9. A copy of this order be given dasti under the signatures of the Court Master.
