This writ petition has been filed for quashing of the First Information Report dated 03.11.2024 giving rise to Case Crime No. 0706 of 2024, under Sections 115(2), 352, 354 (4), 351(2) of the B.N.S., 2023, Police Station - Bilari, District - Moradabad. 3. When there was some misunderstanding between the petitioners and the respondent no. 4, it appears that a certain scuffle had taken place and, therefore, a first information report dated 03.11.2024 was lodged which had given rise to Case Crime No. 0706 of 2024. During the pendency of the writ petition, the parties had entered into a compromise and therefore this Court on 07.01.2025 had directed the trial court to get the compromise verified and thereafter the verification report had been received. Sri Mohd. Ashraf Abbasi, learned counsel for the respondent no. 4 also states that the parties have actually entered into a compromise. 4. In view of the fact that the parties have now entered into a compromise and the compromise had also been verified, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the investigation going. 5. Under such circumstances, the first information report dated 03.11.2024 which had given rise to Case Crime No. 0706 of 2024 is quashed. 6. The writ petition stands allowed.
