The present revision is filed against the judgment dated 04.08.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kotdwar, in Criminal Appeal No. 11 of 2025, whereby the appellate court affirmed the conviction and sentence imposed on the revisionist. The conviction entailed one year’s simple imprisonment and a fine of ₹10,50,000/-, with an additional six months’ imprisonment in default, as awarded by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kotdwar, on 28.02.2025 in Criminal Case No. 1953 of 2022 under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. 5. Today, the case is taken up today before the National Lok Adalat. 6. Mr. Chandra Prakash Sharma, the revisionist, and Mr. Satendra Singh Negi, respondent no. 2/claimant, are present in person before the Lok Adalat and have been duly identified by their respective counsels. 7. Before the Lok Adalat, the parties have amicably agreed to settle the dispute. Accordingly, the present revision is disposed of on the basis of the settlement whereby the cheque for ₹10,00,000/- bearing number 008470, drawn on Union Bank of India, Kotdwar, has been received by the respondent/complainant in full satisfaction of the claim. 8. In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties before the Lok Adalat, the present revision stands disposed of accordingly. 9. The compromise sheet shall form part of the record.
