Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pant Nagar through a contractor since last several years. By means of this writ petition, they have approached this Court, seeking the following relief: “A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to treat the entire services of the petitioners as daily wager with effect from their initial date of appointment and consequently consider their claim for regularization on the post occupied by them or on any other equivalent posts w.e.f. the date of their initial engagement and pay them all consequential benefits.” 3. In sum and substance, grievance raised by petitioners is that despite serving for sufficiently long period of time, their claim for regularisation has not been considered. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that Regularisation Rules, framed by State Government, have been adopted by the University and petitioners are eligible to be considered under the said Rules. 2025:UHC:8024 5. Mr. S.S. Lingwal, learned counsel appearing for the University submits that if petitioners make fresh representation separately, then competent authority shall take decision thereupon, as per law. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by permitting petitioners to make representation to respondent No. 3 for their regularisation within two weeks from today. Respondent No. 3 shall examine their claim for regularisation and if found eligible, then he shall refer their case to Regularization Committee, who shall consider the claim of petitioners as per applicable Rules and pass necessary order within eight weeks thereafter.
