3. A limited prayer has been made in this writ petition seeking directions to the Revenue Appellate Authority (for short ‘RAA’) to decide the pending appeal expeditiously, as early as possible, within a time frame.
4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that against the judgment dated 16.06.1973, an appeal preferred by the petitioner before the RAA is lying pending for adjudication since 1988, so appropriate directions be issued to the Appellate Authority to decide the appeal expeditiously.
5. Considering the arguments put forward and the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and looking to the fact that the appeal is lying pending before the RAA since last 36 years, it is expected from the said Appellate Authority to make all possible endeavours to decide the pending appeal expeditiously, as early as possible, preferably within a period of one year from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition stands disposed of. Pending application, if any, also stand
disposed of.
