Learned counsel for the petitioner states that with the efflux of time, instant petition has been rendered infructuous. 02. By this petition, petitioner is seeking a direction upon the respondents to release compensation to the tune of Rs. 26,79,500/- in favour of the petitoner awarded in terms of final award dated 24.11.2003, for the land measuring 93 kanals and 04 marlas, falling under Khasra No. 1375 min situated at Village Kotli Manotrian, Tehsil and District Reasi. 03. Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced order dated 03.05.2025, pursuant to the order passed in writ petition, which he had preferred in the year 2017 bearing OWP No. 2141/2017 titled “Balwant Singh v. Union of India and Ors.”, whereby it has been decided by respondent No. 6 –Collector Land Acquisition, Northern Railways, Sr.No. 25 2 WP(C) No. 3000/2024 Udhampur/Reasi that petitioner is not entitled to compensation for the acquired land under Khasra No. 1375 min situated at Village Kotli Manotrian, Tehsil and District Reasi. Aforesaid order is taken on record. It is stated that during the pendency of this petition, respondents have passed order dated 03.05.2025, as such, petitioner needs to challenge the same by filing a fresh petition. 04. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the petition, with a liberty to file fresh one. 05. This writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for.
