The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 3rd respondent to consider his representation dated 15.03.2023 to construct office building for petitioner's welfare association in the plot alloted for public purpose in Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project Layout, TNHB Colony, Velachery, Chennai. 3. It is the case of the petitioner that 2nd respondent/Housing Board formed a layout called TNHB Colony, Velachery and alloted plots to various eligible allotees. The petitioner is a President of welfare association of the residents of TNHB colony. The petitioner association has no office premises of its own. Therefore, he submitted a representation before the 3rd respondent seeking construction of office premises for petitioner's 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.39250 of 2024 association in any one of the plot earmarked for public purpose and the same has not been considered by the 3rd respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4. The respondents 2 and 3 only formed a layout and alloted the plots to eligible applicants. They have no legal obligation to construct office premises for the welfare association of the allotees. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any positive direction to respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed.
