Name of the counsel for the respondent is shown in the cause list. The petitioner claims for entitlement to ACP. He has also made representation in this regard but to no avail. Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the matter requires factual determination as per applicable law by the competent authority in the first instance. However, they fairly contend that the claims regarding entitlements to ACP are liable to be decided by the competent authority in a reasonable time frame. In light of the submissions made at the Bar and without going into the merits of the case, the respondent authorities are directed to decide the representation of the petitioner for grant the benefit of entitlement to ACP as per law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a fresh copy of the representation.
