Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State authorities. 2. Petitioner's mother died due to drowning in the canal on 01.08.2023. Grievance is that petitioner has raised a claim for payment of compensation in terms of the Govt. Order dated 09.06.2021 before the competent authority vide representation dated 06.11.2024. Submission is that even after expiry of sufficient period no decision has been taken by the competent authority, so far. Hence, this petition. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that such grievance of the petitioner shall be examined by the competent authority, in accordance with law, expeditiously. 4. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with the direction upon respondent no. 4 to examine grievance of the petitioner, noticed above, and pass an appropriate reasoned speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
