CWP-34357-2024 1. Prayer in this writ petition is for directing the respondents to decide the case of registration of petitioner’s unit as per Stone Crushing Policy, Annexure P-6 dated 02.08.2023. Notice of motion had been issued in this writ petition while noting the contentions on behalf of petitioner as under:- “Counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the initial registration granted earlier had expired on 12.12.2022. The petitioner is stated to have applied afresh and reference is made to Clause 8(d) of the Punjab Crusher Policy, 2023 (Annexure P-6) to submit that a decision has to be taken within a period of one month by the Director or any officer authorized by him in this regard. While referring to second proviso of Clause 13 of the said pol icy, it is submitted that where the annual fee is not received until the expiry of 30 days after the due date, the registration shall be deemed to be cancelled. It is further submitted that there were certain demands outstanding which are pending before the various authorities.” 3. Learned counsel for the State on instructions from Sh. Harkirat Singh, SDO, Drainage-cum-Mining Sub Division, Shri Anandpur Sahib, submits that necessary decision regarding re-registration of petitioner's unit shall be taken by the competent authority within a period of four weeks from today. It is submitted that writ petition is thus rendered infructuous. 4. In view of the said statement as above, no further orders are required to be passed. 5. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
