ORDER:
1. This criminal petition, under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita,2023, is filed by the petitioners seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioners/A.1 to A.6 in Crime No. 14 of 2025 of KIA Police Station, Sri Sathya Sai District, registered against them for the alleged offence under Sections 329(3), 324(4), 324(5), 115(2), 118(1), 351(1) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,
2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the 2"'^respondent has filed a complaint, alleging that the petitioners interfered with the construction of his compound wall, damaged a portion of it, and attacked him, resulting in the 2"^respondent sustaining fatal injuries during the attack. It is further submitted that the petitioners are falsely implicated in the case. The learned counsel further submits that since the offences alleged against the petitioners are punishable below 7 years, he seeks a direction to the police to follow the procedure as contemplated under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

4. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still at ^ the investigation stage.
5. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the criminal petition by directing the Station House Officer, KIA Police Station, Sri Sathya Sai District, to follow the procedure as contemplated under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 insofar as the petitioners are concerned, for the purpose of investigation in connection with Crime No.14of2025.
6. Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed off. i
7. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
